"Well,it has been six months since my transplant and it's going to plan so far (thank the lord). I have had to go into hospital twice since because of the common viruses you get when you have a transplant (but that's not bad to deal with). My medication is almost finished now so I believe thats a good sign. I still have my check ups every six weeks now, so the gaps are getting bigger between visits thankfully.
I have lost almost five stone in weight so I'm in the gym trying to put back the muscle lost ( I work hard I can tell you). Life is getting back to normal almost, physically and mentally getting stronger every day now. We recently went on our first holiday since the transplant to the Lake District.
(see photos)
I owe it all to my bone marrow donor, who without, I would not be here right now, to spend time with my wife and children.
So it is important we continue to donate and give the gift of life and save each other from these terrible diseases."
